  1. Just sent back half a years savings last week and got a great rate. Can't be good for people visiting Japan though.
  2. Depends what I am doing I'd say half the time I do. On a cold day it keeps your bonce warm so just that is a reason to in peak season.
  3. I'm living near Itoigawa now in Niigata so easy to get to Hakuba/Otari and also over to Myoko and other Niigata places.
  4. Yep the Okushiga bit is just skiers. Neighbouring Yakebitaiyama and all the other places apart from Kumanoyu are open for everyone.
  5. Took a few friends over to Shiga Kogen. For the most part we stayed in the Okushiga area, just venturing over to Yakebitaiyama though it was busier over there. Never been before but the snow, which not masses of it, was good quality. Not bottomless though. More in Hakuba (and of course, bottomless there). Here'a a few photos, sorry I'm not really a photodude -- but thought I would share. Looking towards Ichonose

People asking if they can ski in November and people answering that it might well be possible, but it never really happens. Not properly anyway. Just a thought.
