Never been to Japan. Have only just found out about the snow thanks to finding this site (which is amazing guys job well done). Hope to fast forward to a trip perhaps this next season even.

Surely the question after why? is 'what about the cold'!?

I haven't really looked into this at all but it's amazing that not that long ago it was 240 yen to the pound and now it's 140 yen. Japan would seem so much cheaper at that older rate, come back please!!

I only got 5 days skiing in last season. An illness in the family and committments there prevented more. I'm looking into the idea of getting to Japan though this year as well as a week in Austria.

I don't think I'd go skiing anywhere over new year. Just too expensive and other things to enjoy then. I once went the week after to Zermatt and it was brilliant, more people leaving than going which suited us just fine along with nice fluffy snow.

Only just found out about Japan's snow and stoked at the thought of combining a trip there to ski.

Skier. Never tried snowboarding and not really that interested either.
