Looks like its been a tough season so far for Niseko hey.. but hopefully this huge weather system can make some positive changes. I guess its difficult to mark a date by which the backcountry gates will open but how many more cm's of snow is required before this can happen?

2 metre base looks fantastic, excuse my noobness but how is niseko measuring up to previous seasons so far in relation to snow quality/depth? Looking good for the coming month? or perhaps under the standards of some of you locals?

So in a nutshell what is the best way around if you dont have a car? Is the bus service relatively logical?
