  1. They do it is american and they get a post office box. The forces dont charge overseas shipping to them. For example some places will ship for free to an APO/FPO or the charge is the price of shipping to California. The other nice thing for them is no import tax troubles
  2. Backcountry ships in a timely fashion what skis are you looking for? I have some super big baords Im selling that may fit the bill on a cheaper budget rather than ordering more skis. Praxis and Ski logick
  3. Depends on where you live but some towns dont require a parking spot or garage shomeisho.
  4. Honshu forecast isnt good. The Hoks forecast changed from rain to snow so lets hope the came happens on Honshu. Another dump happening mid week though.
  5. Ok this is going to be harsh but here goes. Ippy Tommy Australia is not my responsibility in an Internet forum. I'm more than happy to share lines with people if I meet and ride with them. A rope is there for a reason whether you judge it to be right or not. As well you can not judge a persons level until you ride with them. Your thread is assuming what is safe or why patrol may do something rather than having real facts. You don't even know what areas patrol would even consider a rescue in as well. There are more factors than your patrol aggro level or or that rope means nothing go ahead d
  6. Im not attacking im trying to write in a way that isnt. Why does everything have to come for free. Before the internet people learned how and where to ride by learning and exploring. You are talking about rope ducking and giving people information beyond a rope. And you basically helped my point about how little you do know. How does that encourage me to tell you to watch out for a hundred foot cliff in the nozawa trees or where it is? Seriously Im not there day to day nor can judge the conditions on certain days. Meet people talk to them explore safely with friends. Do so knowing that i
  7. I do not hold any view to protect any line. This Forum is used as an information gateway for many holiday makers which tend to be in the mid range level. I have met many SJ people and I'm not trying to insult but they aren't avi savvy advanced skiers. That is my opinion and I'm not trying to insult anyone. This forum is not populated by professionals in the ski industry (ie patrol owners SAR) to a large degree. If you want to ride the terrain buy a map and study it. You will see what is there and what isn't. I don't think trusting someone on an Internet for holiday makers is the way forwar
  8. This is kind of a cheat sheet that could get someone hurt. There are many reasons for the ropes. Many times it is because the resort is not renting the land on the other side of the ropes. I for one duck a few ropes but Im not going to tell the internet where. I dont trust a person untill I ski with them so why give away a slightly dangerous area to someone who doesnt understand the risks. Sorry Ippy but this is by far one of the stupidest and most dangerous posts I have ever seen on an internet site where the average riding level is in the mid range. If you feel the need to make a post like t
  9. The reasons I choose those are this. Nozawa has a life after skiing or riding. The town itself can make a holiday if you love an old feel to your ski resort. Myoko hard to fault the shear volume of snow they stack up come January. They lack the BC options of Hakuba and the courses arent really that steep but the trees go off if you know where to look. Again seeing people struggle to save there houses daily because of the snow is a bit of a turn on. Furano is sort of Niseko east. Less snow but man it can play big. The trees are good and the town is set up and you can enjoy yourself after ski
  10. I dont know. i know pete personally and through Facebook. He is coming to town around now taking time off work to shred for 2 monthes. The people I know in town on here is limited to Stemik and Mr. Wiggles.
  11. But alpico is cheaper if you buy the 4 ticket book to 5000 yen. Ill call after work sorry 5 classes posting between and stressing about stuff I have to do because of the snow.
  12. Yanaba is quite the trip on the train though, You realistically need a car to make it worth your while. If you miss the last train a Yanaba you are taking a 100 dollar taxi home or hitch hiking. Yanaba has made a kids slope indoors for parents and really youngling lessons. About 5 meters in length but its warm and the kids wont get bored in the lodge.
  13. Here was a clip of my weekend! http://www.sj.snowjapan.tv/videos/711/pow-day-dec-9th-happo/
  14. I fix these all the time just seal it with epoxy then from the local hardware store.
