  1. Interesting, Mr. Wiggles, I had no idea. Which led me to wonder why the heck the kanji is "wind tree," but Wikipedia tells me that the proper kanji was originally actually something else, but that other kanji didn't make it into the Joyo Kanji list. The wind-tree kanji, which did make it, came from another tree (pronounced "fuu") that looks kind of like the kaede. Learn something new every day!
  2. These trees confuse me. We planted what we thought was a hanamizuki (magnolia, I thought), but it turned out to be a yamaboushi. Doesn't look like a dogwood to me, though (which we had when I was a kid). Then there's kobushi, which I thought was supposed to be a dogwood, but Wikipedia claims is a magnolia... Not really sure what is what any more, in either language...
  3. Haha, that would have been my next hint, Hint 19 (next number in the prime number series). Hint 2: Asahi-chan (Hi gg! ) Hint 3: Salad. Asahi-mura is on the サラダ街道. Hint 5: Kamijo Tsunehiko, singer from Asahi-mura Hint 7: Base area Hint 11: Prime Minister Abe Hint 13: Asahi Pentax 50 mm f1.4 prime lens All pointing to Asahi Prime ski area, in Asahi-mura, Nagano. Your turn, onehunga.
  4. Yes, very good MO Lucky guess. Somehow had that feeling to it.
  5. I thought that was the latest Mt. Granview winter hikingwear. Are you telling me it is meant for summer? Kids these days, so pampered.
  6. You're good, onehunga. Nishikawa Chomin it is, just down the road a piece from St Mary. Take it.
  7. Haven't got time for Facebook, Twitter etc. Spend enough time here as it is...
