Lift tickets 2020-2021: ski lift ticket prices news

On this page we will be keeping an eye on the price of lift tickets for the 2020-2021 winter season.

So far, the majority of ski areas appear to be keeping their lift tickets at the same price as last season... we won't be mentioning those on this page.

Some ski areas offer cheaper tickets online (their official websites). The below is for the 'normal'/on-the-day charges.

Details will be updated on each of the relevant ski area pages on the main website.

Aomori Prefecture

Aomori Spring Ski Resort
A 1 day ticket was 5,200 yen.
That will be 5,500 yen for the 2020-2021 season.
The season ticket, however, is cheaper this year.

Owani Onsen
A 1 day ticket has increased by 200 yen and a 5 hour ticket by 100 yen.
1 day ticket: 2,900 yen (last year) >>> 3,100 yen
5 hour ticket: 2,600 yen (last year) >>> 2,700 yen

 

Fukui Prefecture

Kuzuryu
Lift tickets are up by 100-200 yen this season.

 

Fukushima Prefecture

Grandeco Snow Resort
Some complicated lift ticket charges for 2020-2021 at Grandeco with 4 different sets of prices.
A one day lift ticket on some weekend/holiday dates goes from 4,800 yen to 5,400 yen.
The Gondola and Number 4 lift will also be rested on weekdays.

 

Gunma Prefecture

Katashina Kogen
One day lift tickets on weekends and holidays are up 200 yen, along with other similar price increases.

 

Hokkaido

Hidaka Kokusai
All adult tickets (1 day, 2 hours, 5 hours, night ticket) have increased by 200 yen.
A 1 day lift ticket is now 3,200 yen.

Nayoro Piyashiri
The 1 day and 4 hour tickets have increased by 350 yen.
However, the season tickets are quite a bit cheaper.... especially for city residents
1 day ticket: 2,650 (last year) >>> 3,000 yen
4 hour ticket: 2,050 (last year) >>> 2,400 yen
Season ticket (city residents): 32,800 (last year) >>> 19,800 yen
Season ticket (other): 32,800 (last year) >>> 24,800 yen

Niseko Moiwa Ski Resort
The price of the Niseko Moiwa adult tickets has increased for the 2020-2021 season.
Examples (adult):
1 day ticket: 4,500 yen (last year) >>> 4,800 yen
2 day ticket: 8,000 yen (last year) >>> 8,400 yen
3 day ticket: 11,700 yen (last year) >>> 12,500 yen

Niseko United
The price of the joint 'Niseko United' lift tickets have increased for the 2020-2021 season.
A 1 day lift ticket has increased by 100 yen.
Examples:
1 day ticket: 8,000 yen (last year) >>> 8,100 yen

 

Iwate Prefecture

Geto Kogen
A 1 day lift ticket goes from 4,900 yen to 5,200 yen

Okunakayama Kogen
Price increases including:
1 day adult weekend ticket: 3,100 yen >>> 3,300 yen
1 day adult weekday ticket: 2,900 yen >>> 3,000 yen

 

Miyagi Prefecture

Spring Valley Izumi Kogen
Lift tickets on the day are more expensive this season.... but the same or cheaper if bought online
8 hour ticket: 3,900 yen (last year) >>> 4,200 yen [3,800 yen online in advance]
6 hour ticket: 3,700 yen (last year) >>> 3,900 yen [same as last season online]
4 hour ticket: 3,400 yen (last year) >>> 3,600 yen [same as last season online]

 

Nagano Prefecture

Asahi Prime
New ownership at Asahi Prime and news that they will be opening (after a period when it was in doubt)
1 day weekend ticket: 3,600 yen >>> 3,300 yen (same price as weekdays)

Asama 2000 Park
One day lift tickets at weekends remain at 4,000 yen, but increase on weekdays
1 day weekday ticket: 2,500 yen >>> 3,000 yen

Banshogahara
To celebrate the return of Banshogahara after a year off due to typhoon damage, all 1 day lift tickets are 1,000 yen less than normal:
Adult >>> 2,550 yen
Child >>> 520 yen

Blanche Takayama Ski Resort
The prices of lift tickets have all increased.
A 1 day lift ticket has increased by 400 yen.
1 day ticket: 4,400 yen (last year) >>> 6,800 yen

Hakuba Valley
The price of the joint 'Hakuba Valley' lift tickets have increased for the 2020-2021 season.
A 1 day lift ticket has increased by 500 yen.
Examples:
1 day ticket: 6,100 yen (last year) >>> 6,600 yen
2 day ticket: 11,000 yen (last year) >>> 12,500 yen
3 day ticket: 16,300 yen (last year) >>> 18,700 yen

Hakuba Happo-one, Hakuba 47, Hakuba Goryu
Prices of individual ski area tickets are unchanged.

Kaida Kogen Mia
All one day and half day tickets have increased by 100 yen this season.
1 day ticket: 3,900 yen (last year) >>> 4,000 yen
Afternoon ticket: 3,000 yen (last year) >>> 3,100 yen

Kitashinshu Kijimadaira
All lift tickets this season are 50% (or thereabouts) off the normal prices!
Note: the famous steep Pioneer Course will not be open this season.

Kurohime Kogen Snow Park
The adult lift tickets have increased:
1 day ticket: 4,000 yen (last year) >>> 4,200 yen

Ryuoo Ski Park
The adult and senior lift tickets have increased, mostly by 200 yen.
1 day ticket: 4,800 yen (last year) >>> 5,000 yen
Half ticket: 3,900 yen (last year) >>> 4,100 yen
PM/Nighta ticket: 4,800 yen (last year) >>> 5,000 yen

Shiga Kogen
The price of a 1 day joint Shiga Kogen lift ticket has increased for the 2020-2021 season.
1 day ticket: 5,500 yen (last year) >>> 5,600 yen
2+ day  tickets: unchanged

Shirakaba Resort Ikenotaira Snow Park
The price of a 1 day adult lift ticket has increased for the 2020-2021 season.
1 day ticket: 3,000 yen (last year) >>> 3,500 yen

Sun Meadows Kiyosato
The price of a weekend/holiday 1 day ticket is up 200 yen this season. Weekday tickets remain unchanged.
1 day ticket: 4,800 yen (last year) >>> 5,000 yen

Tsugaike Kogen
The price of a Tsugaike Kogen only one day lift ticket has gone up by 100 yen this season; two day ticket by 200 yen
1 day ticket: 5,400 yen (last year) >>> 5,500 yen
2 day ticket: 9,500 yen (last year) >>> 9,700 yen

 

Niigata Prefecture

Cupid Valley
A price reduction!
All lift tickets are less expensive this year than last, with the one day ticket going from 4,300 yen to 4,200 yen.
It needs to be noted that the gondola will not be operating this season and that means you need to get two lifts to the top area.
The rested gondola means that about 600m of course under the top part of the gondola lift will not be available this season.

GALA Yuzawa
Lift tickets for adults bought on the day (1 day, half day, PM3 tickets) are all +200 yen this season.
1 day ticket: 5,000 yen >>> 5,200 yen
Lift tickets bought online on the official site are the same as normal prices last season (ie. 1 day: 5,000 yen). 

Kandatsu Kogen
100 yen has been added to the cost of all one day lift tickets.

Yuzawa Kogen
300 yen has been added to the cost of one day lift tickets. However, cheaper tickets are available online in advance.
1 day ticket: 4,400 yen (last year) >>> 4,700 yen (but 4,200 yen online)

 

Okayama Prefecture

Onbara Kogen
A price reduction!
A 1 day ticket has gone from 4,300 yen to 4,000 yen.
The Lakeside section of the ski area (two lifts) will not be operating this season, perhaps accounting for the price reduction.

 

Shiga Prefecture

GRANSNOW Okuibuki
1 day and afternoon tickets for adults on weekends and holidays are 100 yen more expensive this season. Weekday charges remain the same.
1 day ticket: 4,800 yen (last year) >>> 4,900 yen
Afternoon ticket: 2,900 yen (last year) >>> 3,000 yen
* Not to be mistaken as the legendary Mt Granview in Minamiuonuma. (Some of you might get that  ;))


Yamagata Prefecture

St.MARY
The lift tickets for adults have increased by 400 yen (though tickets for children are cheaper this year).
Examples:
7 hours ticket: 3,100 yen (last year) >>> 3,500 yen
5 hours ticket: 2,900 yen (last year) >>> 3,300 yen
3 hours ticket: 2,600 yen (last year) >>> 3,000 yen

Zao Onsen
The price a 1 day ticket remains unchanged, but multiple day tickets are slightly more expensive.

 

Yamanashi Prefecture

Fujiten Snow Resort
1 day and 4 hour lift tickets on weekends and holidays have increased by 300 yen. Weekday tickets remain unchanged.
Weekend 1 day: 4,500 yen (last year) >>> 4,800 yen
Weekday 4 hours: 3,500 yen (last year) >>> 3,800 yen
