Koeji is a small ski hill located to the east of central Oshu city in the southern region of Iwate Prefecture.
Iwate Prefecture is located in the Tohoku region of the main island of Honshu. Morioka is the capital city. Most of the ski and snowboard hills in Iwate Prefecture are located in the western mountainous regions, near to the border with Akita Prefecture. Aomori Prefecture is to the north and Miyagi Prefecture is to the south of Iwate.

Koeji is about 26.5km from the Mizusawa IC exit on the Tohoku Expressway.
It is located just off Prefecture Road 10, about 2km from Route 397.
From the Mizusawa IC exit head south on Route 4 and then turn left onto Route 397. Head east on this road for about 21km and then turn right onto Prefecture Road 10. The ski hill is just off this road on the right hand side.
