Bibai Kokusetsu is a small ski hill located in the Higashi Bibai-cho region of Bibai city to the north east of Sapporo city in Hokkaido.

Hokkaido is the second largest island of Japan and also the largest and northernmost prefecture (though it is not usually referred to as a prefecture). It has coastlines on the Sea of Japan, the Sea of Okhotsk and also the Pacific Ocean. Sapporo is the capital city of Hokkaido and was host to the 1972 Winter Olympics. Hokkaido is home to the largest number of ski hills in Japan. While the majority of them are very small, some of the larger ski and snowboard resorts in Hokkaido - mostly found in regions to the west and east of Sapporo - are amongst the most famous in Japan.

Bibai Kokusetsu is open from 9am until 4pm every day.

Nighta is from 4pm until 9pm.

Nighta operations are on Tuesdays and Thursdays only.

Lift Ticket Information The 4 Hour ticket is valid for 4 hours from the time of purchase.

Bibai Station on the Hakodate Honsen line is about 9km to the west of Bibai Kokusetsu.

Nearest national route: Route 12 (7.9km away)
Nearest prefecture road: Prefecture Road 135
Bibai Kokusetsu is located to the west of the Bibai city centre.

Bibai IC is the closest exit on the Hokkaido Expressway.

From the IC exit turn right onto Prefecture Road 135 (Tomei Dori). The ski hill is just over 5.5km along on the right hand side of this road.

There is a car park at the base of Bibai Kokusetsu for 250 vehicles. Parking is free every day of the season.
