Hida Takayama is a small ski hill located to the east of central Takayama city in the northern region of Gifu Prefecture. Normally this area enjoys good snow conditions and fine 360 views can be enjoyed from the top.
Gifu Prefecture is located in the Chubu region of the central region of Honshu island, and it one of only a handful of landlocked prefectures. It shares borders with (from the north) Toyama, Nagano, Aichi, Mie, Shiga, Fukui and Ishikawa. Most of the ski and snowboard resorts in Gifu are located in the northern region of the prefecture – in Gujo city, Takayama city, Hida city and Shirakawa village.

Hida Takayama is located to the east of central Tateyama city and about 24km from the Tateyama IC exit on the Chubu Jukan Expressway.
From Takayama city head east on Route 158 and then Prefecture Road 462.
