Great even on March 1st
We went to take the kids sledding. A long way to go I know but my wife was adamant.

We did not find a really good place to sled even the 5m height / 30m run at the left hand side of the children's play area (flat) in front of the restaurant by the second upper car park was enough for our three year old. And ramp into the same area from the direction of the top of the mountain

Remote place not many people had powder over my ears *)
My first visit to this place and had a wonderful time.

Access by car has two options. I didn't know about the new one and took the short one suggested by navi. It was one way road with few spots for cars meeting to get through. It was dangerous as there was a lot of snow and ice no protection on the side with cliffs so it was an adventure I wouldn't recommend to anyone with kids or unexperienced driver.

Osorakan has ONLY two saving graces. When the snow sucks everywhere else in Western Japan, because of little or no natural snow, you will find more of it here. Why?

I had a good time here, but... as the time progressed I became a little bit frustrated by the lack of quality in the facilities and in what is a really stupid layout for the runs.

I have never been to a resort that quite requires the amount of skating and even walking as is required here. Quite often you get off your lift and will have to skate a distance to get to the start of the piste or to
