Liza is perfect for a beginner snowboarder. Only on the weekends are the lifts ever busy. The staff is so friendly. The mountain is small enough that it is impossible to get separated from your friends. There are really really easy runs and a few intermediate level as well.

Every day the groomers have done something different to the slopes, sometimes making moguls or new jumps. The snow conditions have never been the same two days in a row, so its good to practice in all kinds of conditions.

If you're looking to tweak your abilities for a reasonable price, Liza is your place. Compared to other resorts in the area, a season pass here is super cheap.

If you're an accomplished snowboarder who wants more of a park feel - you should really go to Jangle Jungle.
Date visited: From 2001 To 2003
Snow condition on visit: Most of the time, Liza has great snow
Things I liked: Small mountain and not very crowded, especially during the week, very friendly staff, there's always something new on these slopes - like moguls, jumps, etc., so great for a beginner to try many new things
Things I didn't like: Maybe 50% of the time the upper part of this mountain has intense wind and fog, making it a challenge to navigate
Recommended for: Beginner riders
Snowboarders
