Took my kids there for a couple of days on recommendation from a friend.
They are pretty good skiers as this is their 4th season, but felt needed to get them some lessons to help solidify their technique. We signed them up for group lessons, but on both Fri and Sat they only had themselves or one other kid in the group and got a lot of skiing in with very good attention by the teacher. Most teachers speak decent English. My kids have hated lessons in the past, but this place tries to make the lessons fun, had my kids jumping off kickers and boxes as well as going down the half pipe aside from their skill development on the runs. They even had a Emily Matsuura teach them (she being a Japan World Cup half pipe skier who had just come back from a 9th place showing in the FIS World Cup event in Park City) which was exciting for them. The kids loved the lessons and want to go back.
The snow was mixed, was warm and slushy one day and then cold with snow the next. But the runs were maintained pretty well.
A lot of boarders there, but rather well mannered. Never felt like it was over run with people sitting in the middle of runs or boarding out of control.
Nice hotel, though the food options are a bit limited.
nWe had a great time, and I would highly recommend this place for families and if you want to take lessons or put your kids in lessons.
