Kazawa is about 30 mins from the Komoro interchange along the Jyoushinetsu highway.

It got some nice powder early in December, when even Hakuba was still closed.

It is mainly skiers, and as a result the steeper slopes get riddled with moguls toward lunchtime. There are a few park features but nothing spectacular. Definately worth a look early in the season.
Date visited: From December, 2009
Snow condition on visit: Good
Things I liked: Early powder
Things I didn't like: Not all that big
