Grandeco had really great snow the two days I was there. It was not crowded, in fact, I think the longest I ever waited for a lift, was about 30 seconds: even on Sunday.
It's a great drive up the mountian, but I wouldn't want to do it without studless tires: having 4WD also helped. Mind you, I'm known to do just a little over the speed limit.
I guess Gran Deco is best suited to beginers or familys. There's not little there to present much of a challenge. I think there are two runs which are described as "black" but each of these only have a very small section that could posibly be considered as such. The run straight down from the top of number
1 quad is probably the better example of these.
Beware, there are many almost flat sections: be prepared to keep your speed or risk walking.
Anyway I had fun, but to quote another post on this forum: "I wont be going back there."
