Kamui Ski Links review by SlipperyJim
Haven't been to Kamui in a few years, but made a couple of dozen trips there in the 90s, booking cheap packages that included flight, downtown Asahikawa hotel & bus.

Great ski area for anyone in the range of beginner to upper intermediate; not too interesting for experts. Can be a bit cold if the wind is kicking up, but scenic and typically good snow. Yo-yo'ing the gondola can be a lot of fun, but the runout toward the bottom of the mountain gets a bit boring for intermediates. The mountain really needs a high-speed lift (a double would be fine) from the bottom of the Gold course up to the top -- that would make a big difference.

The cocoa in the base lodge is excellent.
Date visited: From 2000
Snow condition on visit: Powder/packed powder
Things I liked: Good snow, uncrowded, variety of runs
Things I didn't like: no real expert terrain
