The Shiga Kogen ski resorts are located in Yamanouchi town in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, to the north east of Nagano City. The closest exit on the Joshinetsu Expressway is the Shinshu Nakano IC. The closest train station is the Yudanaka Station on the Nagano Dentetsu Nagano line which stops in the Yudanaka region of Yamanouchi, at the base of Shiga Kogen and a bus service from there to Shiga Kogen takes about 20 minutes. Bus services to Shiga Kogen are also available from the main Nagano Station and take about 1 hour.
Villa Alpen is located at the base of the Sun Valley area of Shiga Kogen - the first part of Shiga Kogen as you arrive.

Villa Alpen is conveniently located in front of a ski lift of the Sun Valley resort with all of the excellent resorts there easily reached. Using Sun Valley as a starting point, over 50 lifts and gondolas of the many resorts in Shiga Kogen are easily accessible.
Villa Alpen is owned by a professional skier, who has national ski instructor license of France and Italy and is a member of Professional Ski InstructorsEAssociation of Japan, with the convenience of the skier upmost in the minds of the owner. You can actually leave your room with your ski boots on! Villa Alpen has a number of English speaking staff and some who can also communicate in French. Villa Alpen also has a ski school and ski and snowboard rentals facilities.
Relax in the large public baths after a day on the slopes and savor the wonderful meals, while talking and enjoying the after-ski scene. Villa Alpen has had visitors from many countries including Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and America.
