Hakuba village is located in the north western region of Nagano Prefecture and is about an hour road journey from central Nagano City and Nagano Station.
The local Oito train line and Route 148 road both run through the village.
The Hakuba area is easily accessed from three expressways and around an hour drive from each. The Azumino IC exit on the Nagano Expressway is about 50km to the south of the central Hakuba Station area (access via Route 147 and Route 148). The Nagano IC exit on the Joshinetsu Expressway is about 45km to the east of the central Hakuba Station area (access via Route 19, Prefecture Road 31 and Prefecture Road 31). The Itoigawa IC exit on the Hokuriku Expressway is about 45km to the north of the central Hakuba Station area (access via Route 148).

Hotel New Bernina is located by the slopes of the Tsugaike Kogen resort, which is actually in Otari village just to the north of Hakuba and about 9km from Hakuba Station.

We are located right on the gelende of Tsugaike Kogen resort in Otari village, just to the north of Hakuba. You can ski or board right from our drying room! The gondola station is just 100 meters, making this a prime location for Tsugaike Kogen. Reasonable ski lift packages available. Our foreign chef prepares a wide range of suitable cuisine.
