Rate includes pick-up or drop-off of guests at Hakuba Station or Happo Bus Terminal upon arrival and departure, periodic shuttle service to local supermarkets, regular services and provision of fresh linen/towels every fee days.

Hakuba village is located in the north western region of Nagano Prefecture and is about an hour road journey from central Nagano City and Nagano Station.
The local Oito train line and Route 148 road both run through the village.
The Hakuba area is easily accessed from three expressways and around an hour drive from each. The Azumino IC exit on the Nagano Expressway is about 50km to the south of the central Hakuba Station area (access via Route 147 and Route 148). The Nagano IC exit on the Joshinetsu Expressway is about 45km to the east of the central Hakuba Station area (access via Route 19, Prefecture Road 31 and Prefecture Road 31). The Itoigawa IC exit on the Hokuriku Expressway is about 45km to the north of the central Hakuba Station area (access via Route 148).

Big Bear Chalets are located in the Wadano area of Hakuba, about 3km from Hakuba Station.

The Big Bear Chalets are modern and spacious chalets providing all the comfort needed for a memorable experience, including very well-equipped kitchens, international cable TV, wireless internet and large, multi-person baths designed to simulate the Japanese 'hot spring' experience.

All rooms are individually heated, and, with triple-glazing and solid Japanese cedar construction, the houses are very well-insulated against both the cold and the heat. The houses are located right in the center of the Hakuba valley's premium area, "Wadanomori", a densely-forested enclave nestled at the base of the Happo-one ski resort and home to all the best hotels, hot springs, bars and restaurants.

The location is a 1 minute walk from Evergreen, Hakuba's leading outdoor activities center, specializing in providing bilingual instruction, guiding services and a variety of outdoor activities during both the winter and summer seasons, as well as childcare facilities.
