Time for a quick pre-Fuji Rock Festival report! (If you are looking for the season-wrap, go back to the previous report).
It's been a real ride with the weather since the end of the snow season. After a generally very pleasant spring, we went through a really very hot patch - mid 30's - and then rainy season generally seemed to be cooler than usual, though it's started to get hot again now. Today the temperature rose to just over 30 degrees here in town and we are now officially out of rainy season. That didn't stop some unexpected heavy rain for a while last night though so it can still be unpredictable
This weekend is of course the Fuji Rock Festival up at Naeba, with the main event from Friday (24th) through until Sunday (26th). There's lots of interesting acts lined up once again. Seems kind of odd to think that Foo Fighters, Muse, Noel Gallagher, Motorhead and loads more will be playing live here in Yuzawa! But it's true.
Always one eye on the weather for Fuji Rock of course. As I mentioned just before things are still somewhat unpredictable but hopefully it might have settled by Friday - looks like we might be on for some decent weather this time round. Fingers crossed and all that. I hope you enjoy it if you are going.
Next report will be on the other side of summer when hopefully things are going to be starting to cool down.
