Yuzawa Now!

Thursday 7th May 2015, 7:13am
Weather conditions: Partly cloudy but another fine day forecast
New snowfall: 0cm
Snow depth: 0cm
The weather sure did co-operate over Golden Week with mostly fine clear skies and warm sunshine.

This morning there's some thin high cloud around but the sun is out. The forecast is for another fine and sunny day with temperatures again reaching up to around 25 degrees later on.

Now that Golden Week has finished, we are just left with the Kagura ski area open in Yuzawa. The Mitsumata area is open as a connecting area for Kagura - so no shuttle bus needed yet, but not much snow remaining at Mitsumata.

---

Kagura:
Kagura plans to be open until 31st May.

Planned lifts:

Mitsumata Ropeway
Mitsumata Number 1 high speed lift
Mitsumata Number 2 Romance lift
Kagura Gondola
Kagura Number 1 high speed lift
Kagura Number 1/4 Romance lifts (Saturdays and holidays only)

The Mitsumata area is now used only as a way to get to and from the main Kagura area.

All other ski resorts in the region are now closed for the season.

We will be updating the Yuzawa Now page with the latest weather information a couple of times a week until the end of the season at Kagura.

Hakuba Now!

Thursday 7th May 2015, 7:29am
Weather conditions: Cloudy, overcast
New snowfall: 0cm
Snow depth: 0cm
Good morning from Hakuba.

It's the day after Golden Week and we are back to a normal weekday now - and with just the upper areas of Happo-one and Hakuba Goryu remaining open, through until Sunday, if you want to get in some more turns.

It's a cloudy/overcast start to the day today but there doesn't look like much of a threat of rain - not during the day anyway, maybe overnight tonight. We should be seeing the sun again tomorrow though. It's not going to be quite as warm over the next few days though if the forecasts are right.

So 4 more days to go including today. Limited choice, but you can still ski and snowboard using ski lifts if you want to.
