Clear and sunny
Good morning from Yuzawa.
Just Kagura and GALA Yuzawa resorts now remain open in the region.
Kagura remains pretty much all open. Over at GALA Yuzawa, there's four of the courses in the main Central Area open and one course on the North still available. We'll keep the info below updated with each new report as we continue through April.
It is going to be another fairly warm day here with clear conditions forecast. It is already 11C at 9am with temps set to rise to perhaps around 16C later in the day.
Unfortunately rain is forecast through the day tomorrow and it might get quite heavy at times. It may linger into Friday as well, but hopefully be less and clear up in good time for the weekend.

There is a moderate breeze whipping around the base area at the moment and this is gusting strongly at times. Temperatures have risen a bit from the morning figure of 3c, but the wind sure makes things feel cool.
Tomorrow will be quite a bit warmer and there will be more rain tomorrow evening. The good news is that there is continuous snow forecast from Friday through until Monday! Read more ...

Sunny blue skies
Good morning from Grandeco.
There was some rain this morning but now it had cleared and currently there are blue skies over the resort. Really spring weather...
A little wind at the top of the mountain, bit it is not affecting lift operations.
Temperature are keeping quite low this morning and the courses should start the day in fairly icy condition.
Grandeco remains 50% open and the resort is still hoping to make it into early May. There's going to try anyway!
According to the forecast it will be raining again tomorrow, which won't be much of a help.
Deco Land is close, but will reopen from Saturday. In the meantime there are free sleds for the kids available at the top of the Gondola.
Lift 4 has closed for the season, but all of the other lifts and Gondola remain operating
Courses that remain open
[A-a] Rainbow 3500 [A-b] Rainbow 3500 [B-a] Mint [B-c] Mint [C] Center [D-b]Lavendar
Resorts that remain open in the region are Grandeco, Nekoma and Minowa. Nekoma will be closed between 19th-21st and 26th-28 April but these resorts all plan to be open until 5th May ---- whether they can do that or not will totally depend on the snow levels of course, which are less than usual and less than expected. Fine and sunny
Good afternoon from Niseko.
'Afternoon' (!?) I hear you say. Sorry about that, I had to be in Sapporo first thing. I am of course going to keep on posting reports every day until the last lift stops, though please do note that - like today - sometimes they will be at different times of the day.
Anyway, it is a fine day here. Blue skies and the sun is out and currently about 8C. As the forecasts stand, it looks like we will have more of the same tomorrow as well.
Wind is actually affecting the gondola and top lift at Annupuri unfortunately but Grand Hirafu has been open as planned. Hopefully less wind tomorrow.
Friday and Saturday there's some rain on the forecast. Might it actually snow a bit higher up on the mountain?
