Kumanoyu remains open operating one lift but otherwise no change since the last report. Milder temperatures haven't helped but the snow making machines are mixing with the real snow that was on the slopes. Temperatures will probably remain below freezing at the top of the mountains but we will need to wait until perhaps Friday night for any new snow and then it isn't looking like it will be much. Yesterday remained very pleasant with little cloud or wind but temps did get well above freezing and the cover on the lower slopes is definitely becoming very thin. Temperatures got well below freezing last night and this morning it is overcast. It's now looking like most of the rain that was forecast for today will pass to the north of us which is some good news. We almost certainly can expect some rain though later on Friday ahead of a little more snow.
Skiing continues to be on the upper mountain only on the Downhill Romance N0.2 chair. With warmer temperatures over the last couple of days the snow has turned quite wet. It looks like there will be some fresh snowfall on the upper mountain at least from tomorrrow evening continuing into Thursday. Read more ...
