Good morning from Yuzawa.
Yesterday remained cloudy for most of the day. The sun came out from time to time but spent a good chunk of the day behind clouds. I'm sure I even felt a few odd spots of rain at one point around lunchtime as well... maybe not.
It's an overcast start to the day here and the forecast is for cloud and a high temp down in town reaching nearly 15 degrees.
Rain expected to start falling either late today or tomorrow.
From Tuesday onwards sunny skies and warmth are likely.

Temperatures dipped down to around -5 degrees overnight, so it's still getting pretty cold. A high of around 10C is forecast for the day here in town.
Tonight maybe not as cold but more sun again tomorrow with a chance of some rain later.

Visibility improved yesterday but it remained cloudy/overcast for the duration of the day in the region.
This morning it's starting off similar to how it was before it got dark yesterday... cloudy/overcast. It cooled down to just below freezing overnight and it chilly early on, but local forecasts say that a high of around 14 degrees can be expected this afternoon. Rain tomorrow? Maybe even later today. Different forecasts tell us to expext different things... lets see which are right.
Sunny skies due back from around Tuesday or Wednesday through until the end of the week.
Official snow depth numbers and operations at resorts remaining open (as of 20th April 2014):
Hakuba Goryu: Plans to be open until early May. Top area open, Champion Expert closed, Toomi used to get back to base though very narrow! Iimori area closed. Upper - 160cm Toomi - 25cm

It's a bit cold this morning actually. The day is starting off with more of what we had yesterday really... overcast and cloudy conditions in the area. Just a bit colder. Should be warming up to around 10C during the day today though and we have some rain expected soon but hopefully it will hold off until tomorrow.
The resort doesn't seem to have updated the info about Yamabiko B course being open again after that event in the week - I wasn't up there yesterday to confirm first hand, but it is supposed to be open now.

Cloudy, fog up at Tenjin
Cloudy yesterday and it would seem similar conditions today up at the still-open Tenjindaira. The resort is reporting some early morning fog up there.
Tanigawadake Tenjindaira remains open of course for all your spring ski/board needs. They plan to be open up until the last day of the Golden Week holidays (Tuesday 6th May). So we have over 2 weeks left.
In the meantime, the resort is keen to get some non-sliding tourists up there... from the 26th April the Koge pair lift will be operating on it's lower summer setting to take people up to the top there for sightseeing. To prepare for that, it will be closed from tomorrow until Friday. And from Saturday it will re-open as the Tenjin Kanko lift! While it's closed though that does limit things somewhat.
Please also note that the downhill course at Tenjindaira has closed for the season. Read more ...
