PM Update

Some strong winds are starting to blow around this afternoon. At the moment GALA Yuzawa have announced that they will be closing early due to the wind conditions. No word yet from other resorts that I can find, but there is a chance that other lifts might be affected.

Original morning report

Morning from Yuzawa.

It's a mix of cloudy and overcast and fine this morning. The sun is shining through the windows right now. It got quite cold overnight but today is expected to be mild. Today should be fine in the morning and clouding over more later on in the day.

Let's quickly skip to the really exciting news. The weather forecast has been changing over the last few days for the better and this morning it really is looking very promising for the coming week. If it happens, we should be seeing regular, consistent and at times heavy snowfall late Monday onwards and for the week. That sounds something like normal for this region but something that has been missing so far this season.

Everyone is hoping that it really gets stuck in and we get snow bombed in style! I'm wary of getting my (and your) hopes up too much here, but I just can't help it.

Not wanting to dampen the excitement, but we might rained on before the snow arrives in town. Precipitation is on the forecast for before the end of the today but with the mild conditions we are expecting I think I'd prefer none today.
