A happy new snow report it is! Yes, we have some decent snowfall this morning in Shiga Kogen. I estimate about 30cm or so on the top of the car this morning to move and it is still coming down now. It's a cold morning as well with Maruike showing -13 degrees earlier on and I doubt it is getting much 'warmer' than that this morning either. The Shiga Kogen tourism site is saying that various lifts may be moving slower than normal this morning in these conditions but from what I can tell all lifts that are supposed to be open are moving. There are no crowds at all though so even if there is some lift slowdown this will hardly affect your day out.

Great to see some good new snow numbers and the snow still falling heavily. We should see this heavy snowfall continue through into tomorrow and beyond, with snow forecast pretty much right into next week.

By the way some of the snow depth numbers below see no increase - just ignore those for now, they will probably play catch up later! :)
