Yesterday saw a little cloud persist around the mountain with light snow flurries but with little cloud away from the mountain the sun was also able to get through for much of the day. Overnight remained mostly fine but the snow started coming in earlier this morning and has got quite heavy in the last couple of hours. Currently falling at a rate of around 5cm per hour. If that can keep up for a good portion of the day we will certainly end up with a good amount out of this storm.
The snow that's falling is not quite as light and fluffy as the snow we experienced earlier in the week but all snow is good snow at the moment. We still need at least another 50-100cm to fall to be able to start getting gates open around the mountain.

Avalanche Information:

Mountain base 6am: -2℃, 3-4cm of overnight snowfall. Temperature at 800m: -6.2℃. The wind at 1000m stagnated relatively mild, around 7-8m/s N to NE. However, has been picking up to 10-15m/s at 800m during the night. Yesterday’s snow is now stabilizing and the avalanche risk is low this morning. However, depending on today’s snowfall and wind transition, the hazards may drastically rise in some areas. Be conscious and careful about the changing weather. Drastic shifts of the weather conditions and rapid snow accumulation highly increase the chances of avalanches to happen.
