Apologies for the report showing up late today - technical issues!

----

Woohoo! Some overnight snowfall! It was a pretty good amount too. The density is super low, meaning that light and dreamy powder snow is just waiting for skis to slash through it. There should be quite a bit up at the higher elevations. It doesn't look like it was windy last night so it will stick evenly. Yesterday we didn't quite see any snow, so this was a breath of fresh air.

The avalanche danger will be about the same as yesterday. The new snow wasn't really heavy enough to make a difference in the snowpack unless it was wind loaded which is highly unlikely. Today's visibility might not be the best so it is looking like tomorrow will be a good one to get out there and do some hiking. Plus, it will give the snowfall from today time to build up to make it even deeper.

We are supposed to see some snow today, but nobody is really sure how much. Numbers are ranging from 10cm-40cm today. It all depends how clouds develop. Somewhere on Hokkaido will be getting some major snow though. As for next week, it looks like it will be picking up in temperatures and clearing up a little.

I hope everyone gets a chance to ski some of this awesome snow!
