Snow showers in the morning yesterday cleared for most of the afternoon but later in the snow moved back over the region. The snow was associated with a warm front on the eastern flank of an approaching low and temperatures remained mild and the snow at lower levels is fairly wet.
Today has been mostly fine but cloudy with only light snow showers. As the low progresses eastwards cooler air will start moving in and light snow showers should continue on and off. A little snow is forecast for tomorrow and then on Friday a stronger low pressure system will start affecting the region with milder temps as it approaches. From Saturday into the middle of next week snow and cooler temps are forecast.

This morning over a hundred volunteers, police and search and rescue people carried out another extensive search for missing Australian Scott McKay. Unfortunately the search was unsuccessful. Everyone's thoughts go out to the family and especially Scott's father who is here currently and although obviously devastated was very thankful for everyone's efforts.
