A pleasant surprise that it snowed quite heavily yesterday morning. We would have had 5-10cms over the mountain. Lower down this fell on harder compacted snow and you could still make out the older tracks making for some bumpy riding. However it would have been better up higher on the mountain. The snow stopped in the afternoon and the moon and stars were out by 6pm.

No snow fell overnight and the sun is out and blue sky is dominating at the moment. It is forecast to remain mostly clear for the day with the cloud building up this evening. After a cold start to the day it will get quite warm today. The wind should remain moderate up high for much of the day but will increase this afternoon/evening.

Tomorrow morning we can expect snow higher up but with the freezing level rising we are likely to see some rain at village level. However the rain will be short lived as by tomorrow afternoon the freezing level is expected to drop back down. This front will be accompanied by strong winds in the morning but should ease off later in the day.
