Yesterday was a real mixed bag with snow at first then turning to graupel and then freezing rain before turning to just rain. Overall there doesn't appear to have been too much damage to the snowdepth but of course surface quality aint great. The temperature peaked overnight up near 6 degrees but it's on it's way back down now and should drop below freezing again by around lunch time with snow on the way.
Currently it is overcast and there's a little icy drizzle about. Visibility is pretty poor and the snow slushy and slow. Winds are still pretty strong up high and currently the top lifts are on hold.
More snowfalls expected throughout the week so hopefully conditions will improve significantly over the next few days.

A typical spring storm involving warm air inflow due to developing Low. A strong S to SW wind with rain/sleet has persisted above 800m since the middle of the night. As a result of this sudden warm up, full depth avalanche hazard is rising in 800m Mikaeri no sawa, Osawa 100m area, Backbowl, Higashi-One and south facing strictly off limits areas. The visibility is bad above 800m.
Peak gates and gates 1 and 4 will be closed.
Refrain from stepping out of bounds when the gates are closed. Stay away from valley bottoms.
Wet & heavy avalanche are also to be considered within the courses, underneath lift lines or cliff terrain. Caution.
Dodgy condition in the mountain today, seek for ski patrol’s advices.
