Snowfalls continued through all of yesterday and through the night adding up to 30cm of new snow across the resort although it was fairly wind affected in places. This morning was only partly cloudy and fresh tracks were to be found all over the mountain. The snow was a little heavy down low but still pretty nice for this time of year. Today will remain only partly cloudy with occasional snow showers.
The avalanche danger is rated as extreme and all gates will be kept shut throughout today. Still there's plenty of good snow in the trees within the resort boundary.
A high pressure system will strengthen to our east tomorrow and a low pressure system will approach from the west. In between these two systems mild air will be dragged up from the south and the next couple of days we can expect above freezing temps with a snow/rain mix at lower levels. The rest of the outlook is for the mild conditions to continue with freeze thaw conditions on lower parts of the mountain.
