Good morning from Naeba!

It's a crisp, clear morning here in Mikuni valley. The sun is just rising above the mountains now to break into the valley, likely warming the valley air as soon as it hits. Air temperatures are expected to be just above 0°C during the day time today, dropping just below freezing over night. There is little wind to report today also, meaning it will be a pleasant day to be out in the sunshine. The pistes are in excellent condition due to the cooler temperatures recently and fresh snow over the past few days. Tonight, we can expect the skies to cloud over, and we may possibly get a dusting of new snow.

Looking forwards, we can expect much the same tomorrow as we will have today; temperatures around freezing and sun followed by cloud and light snow. Temperatures are expected to drop on Sunday night, and not get above freezing again until at least Thursday. Overnight highs of -9°C are currently predicted on Wednesday night. The wind is predicted to pick up a little early in the week, with wind speeds of around 15 - 20 kmph. We can also expect a block of moisture bearing air to pass through from Monday afternoon until Wednesday morning, with a little snow predicted to accumulate.
