Snow! We have about 10cm of fresh on the ground, and it's coming down pretty steadily now. The wind is blowing in from the north, at times a bit gusty. although it looks like it's calming a bit. It's probably a good time to check on gondola operations, just to be sure that they're running (and if they're not, there's not a lot going at the two main areas). Probably OK, though.

I haven't changed any info on the areas (no information in yet), but nothing will have changed.

An interesting story: a young man came here to go skiing; had a ski case in his hand so it was obvious what he was doing. Somebody said, "Should you be skiing at a time like this?" Our answer; yes, you should. Life doesn't come to a stop after a disaster; why are festivals two months from now being canceled (happened here); why shouldn't you still have fun (another guest coming up this weekend is a volunteer for displaced persons, and she just needs to get away from the sadness and ski). If everybody rolls up into a ball, hides on the corner and does nothing, the economy will tank, restaurants and ski areas will go bust, and people like your writer will have to evacuate the country for economic, not nuclear, reasons. Go out in the snow!
