Not much to add this morning; it's kind of the quiet before Christmas, with mostly locals up on the slopes. Sunny yesterday and today, with the threatened rain not evident in mid-morning.

Akakan begin operating all lifts today; other ares should have everything going by the weekend.

Another nice day for the bluebird-skies crowds; powder hounds, hang on a little more!

Lift operations:

Akakura Onsen:
Ginrei No. 3, No. 5; Kumado No. 1, No. 2 No. 4, No. 6; Yodel Super Quad; Chuo Lift. Operating 8:30 to 4. NIght skiing also begins tonight, 5 to 9 p.m.

Akakan (Akakura Kanko):
All lifts open. Operating 8:30 to 3:30.

Ikenotaira:
Kayaba Capsule; Chuo Pair; Alpen No. 2

Myoko Suginohara:
Gondola 8 to 4; Suginohara No. 1 Romance, 8:15 to 4:30; Mitahara No. 2 9 to 4.
