Well, that rain finally did arrive in Myoko. It started last night, and it's pretty wet out there today.

We're also starting to get some ground fog here at base level; it shouldn't be getting colder yet (but it will be over the weekend and into Monday and Tuesday). In fact, once the rain is over and the freezing line decides to come down from the 3,000-meter level - which means it's above freezing even at the peak of Mt. Myoko) - snow is once again on the menu.... ah, mountain weather!

You can also sense that we're coming to the end of the main season as the resorts start to announce their spring dates (or last days). Suginohara will only be running the gondola on the weekend of the 30th-31st; Tangram is operating until the 30th. I'll add more as they post them. And Seki Onsen is closed today, due to the bad weather.
