The snow has started to fall, although it's not all that heavy yet.

A bit if wind, too - but things look to get much more interesting from later today/tonight.

The snowfall may pick up as the winds really come blowing in. If it's as high as some weather sites are predicting, expect some closures of the lifts, especially the gondolas at Akakan and Suginohara, and the No. 3 at Suginohara (which, sorry, I misidentified yesterday as the Akakan No. 5 having shut down due to wind, when it was Suginohara).

There is a super-big low pressure area forming off of Hokkaido, which will bring some very strong winds across the Sea of Japan. It will be nice to have some fresh snow to ski on, but it might be a day or two until it's calm enough to enjoy it.
