The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here

It's a generally cloudy morning in Hakuba covering the top half of the ski resorts in the valley and around -2 degrees as I write this with a high of about +4 degrees forecast for later in the afternoon. The latest local forecast also has us down for sunny conditions later on so perhaps we can expect the current cloud covering the mountains to clear up today. Whatever happens today it still looks like tomorrow until around Wednesday at least will see sunny conditions and gradually higher daytime temperatures getting back into double digits perhaps.

There's still a lot of snow around on the mountains but as I mentioned below yesterday, today will be the last day of the lower slopes of Happo being open as well as the Cortina resort.

Official snow depths and operations @ Saturday 2nd April AM:

Hakuba Goryu:
The upper slopes at Goryu plan to be open until 8th May.
The Gondola, Alps No1 and No3 pair and Toomi Sky Four lifts are operating.
The Iimori area is now closed.
Alps daira - 265cm;
Toomi - 120cm.

Hakuba 47:
All lifts except Line D lift operating with all courses open (some courses will remain ungroomed). 47 also plans to be open into May.
Snow depth (upper) - 205cm

Happo-one:
Today is the last day open for the lower slopes at Happo, but upper slopes are planning to be open until 5th May.
Lifts operating for now: Grad quad, Alpen quad, Kurobishi 2 quad, Kurobishi 3 pair, Skyline No2 pair, Panorama pair, Namikio No3 triple AB, Happo Riesen quad, Sakka Kita One quad, Kita One No3 pair.
Usagidaira/Kurobishi - 190cm;
Sakka - 50cm.

Tsugaike Kogen:
Limited lift operations now at Tsugaike, but the Gondola is operating and it is possible to ski/board down to the bottom of the resort, so there's a large course area still open.
Snow depth upper - 300cm

Hakuba Cortina:
The No2 quad and No4 pair lifts are operating. Today is the last day of the season for Cortina, despite all that snow!
Upper - 330cm
Lower - 190cm

Hakuba Iwatake, Hakuba Sanosaka and Hakuba Minekata are now all closed for the season.
