Hello and good morning from Hakuba on this last day of November.

Stronger winds teased some lift operations yesterday morning but Happo-one managed to get their lifts moving by mid-morning. There was a bit of blue sky to be seen from behind the clouds later in the afternoon.

This morning it is mostly cloud with fog out on the mountain-sides - a look at the webcams shows generally limited visibility out on the slopes around the valley.

It has been an interesting month with that flurry of great excitement and decent early snowfall. Things have calmed down somewhat since then with the snow drying up from around the village - and lower slopes - but lifts and courses to remain open at four of the resorts in Hakuba.

It looks like Hakuba 47 have this morning decided to close the lower part of Route 1 and Route 7 courses due to there not being enough snow down there and the Toomi area is no longer available to get back down to base at Goryu. Basically snow is getting thin on the ground in lower areas now, but there's still a decent amount at higher elevations.

We may get some fresh snow over the next day or two and after clearer conditions over the weekend there looks like a return to snowfall due early in the week. Keep an eye on those forecasts.
