Light snow was falling on the mountains yesterday but it was nothing major and perhaps just a few cm or so of fresh falling up there. It was keeping cold though.

No more cm of fresh snow to report at base this morning and resorts are reporting a light dusting. It is another cold morning - currently -5 degrees here in the village - and there is a lot of cloud (and fog) around early this morning. Light snow in places easing off and there's a decent chance that today will end up with the clouds clearing and the sun making an appearance.

Wind doesn't seem to be a factor today and so I would expect everywhere to be open as planned. I see that Iwatake have been gradually opening more of the Mountain Side as well which is good to see, though there are still a few runs not able to open there.

So let's take a look and see what the forecasts have in store for us.

It's a typically (this season!) difficult-to-read mix of cloud, sun and light snow times forecast over the next few days. Nice and vague enough for you?!

BUT... Friday is looking more exciting with the chance of some moderate to heavy snowfall as we approach the weekend. Bring it on, I do say.
