The mountains remained shrouded in cloud for the day yesterday and it was snowing during nighta last night. This morning though perhaps less than I was expecting.

This morning Cortina wins the most new snow contest, reporting 25-30cm of fresh while others around Hakuba are reporting 1-7cm as noted in the list below.

A lovely sunrise this morning but there's lots of cloud around even though some local forecasts tell us now that today should be sunny. The sun does seem to be trying and may well break through.

I'm happy to report it was a cold night down to minus 8 degrees and today it might rise to around zero down at village level.
