It is cloudy this morning, currently around +3C, and from the webcams it looks like visibility is poor up on the open courses. Low visibility and thin snow - take care out there.

Resorts are struggling with the snow that we have. The rain yesterday of course did not help...

Hakuba 47 are having to close off a few of their courses this morning and also the Hakuba Iwatake Snow Field (which was part open) is now closed again - they plan to re-open on 26th December.

All eyes and thoughts are looking ahead towards Friday which should be the start of the snow storm that we need.

A good storm can transform things literally within 24-48 hours and obviously we are all hoping that this is going to be one of those!

If the forecast is correct, it should be snowing Friday through into Sunday and get particularly cold around Sunday.
