Good morning from Hakuba and welcome to February. Where did January go?!

Around -3 degrees at 9am this morning and there'll be some hard snow conditions early this morning but it's going to warm up this afternoon with the sun out and perhaps a high of up to around +7 degrees. So expect some heavy conditions later on in the day.

Nice and bright early on with a rather overcast feel to the morning so far.

So before we get back to snow, we need to experience tomorrow of course and it's still looking like rain is going to happen during the day with a high of 8 degrees now forecast. It doesn't look like upper slopes will escape either, but we can hope.

Come Monday though it will get colder again and snow is due later in the day and through Tuesday.

The Happo Banks opening event will be taking place at 9:30am this morning - access via Sakka Kitaone Quad over at Happo-one.

Here's to a very snowy February!
