Low cloud and drizzle today in Hakuba. Looks like it is going to be a pretty rainy foggy day today. As the fog/cloud has rolled in, the visibility is going to be an issue today.

With any luck the rain might taper off as it really takes its toll on the snowpack. We can expect a reduced level of snow in all areas due to the melting. It also unfortunately looks like it is raining right to the top of the resorts today. Snow is expected tomorrow, so keep our finger crossed for colder temperatures.

Lift operation on some resorts are now limited for this last part of the season. There is still great snow coverage top to bottom though and once again the slopes will be near empty.

Yesterday was the last day of the season for the Sun Alpina Sanosaka resort. Other planned closing dates for the remaining resorts are posted below.

Official resort snow depths on 1st Apr 10:

Happo-one:
40cm (Shirakaba)
45cm (Sakka/Kitaone)
200cm (Kurobishi/Usagidaira)
Hakuba Goryu:
85cm (Iimori)
95cm (Toomi)
265cm (Alps daira)

95cm (Maruyama)
330cm (Tsuganomori)
