Good morning from Hakuba.

I'm glad we got yesterday out of the way. It wasn't the best. While some snow was falling up in higher elevations earlier in the morning, it turned into rain. Still, let's try to get something positive out of it and think how that is preparing the snow for the upcoming spring season. (Though really I don't want to be thinking about anything 'spring' right now because it's only mid-January).

This morning is starting with generally cloudy conditions with some spots of light rain. Webcams also show some very limited visibility on the mountains - fog?

It is another fairly mild morning though so keeping all that in mind I would expect some spring-like conditions. There's that word again. Next time I mention it, it'll be March... honest! ;)

I just took a look at the forecast and I am happy to see some potentially really good snow coming through at the start of next week. It's looking good. Bring it on!

With that to look forward to, I'm going to get myself out there and do what I can to enjoy what we got this morning. A good workout ahead.
