It is a beautiful morning here in Hakuba. It was snowing for the most part yesterday on the slopes, though eased off down at base level in the afternoon.

There's no fresh snow overnight in the village and resorts around the valley are reporting between 0cm and 20cm of snowfall since yesterday. Cold air this morning and a rather cold -14 degrees up at Usagidaira, looking like around -5 degrees now at base. Just a calm breeze at the moment so rather a contrast to the weather we had the last few days.

Lifts look to be operating as normal this morning at all resorts in Hakuba and Otari.

Conditions should be excellent wherever you go.

It's a very fine day indeed to be out skiing or boarding, or whatever it is you like to do on the snow!

Snow due back tomorrow.
