The first day of the long weekend and it looks like it will be a busy one with cars and people out en masse since early on.

It's a fairly nice start to the day - still and pretty much no wind even at 2450m, -8 at 1400m and -4 in the valley.

It has started off partially cloudy today and the sky has a flat white color to it but visibility is good.

There has been no snow overnight so we're looking at nice fresh corduroy lines.

Lots of people out there so watch out as skis and boards tend to fly in all directions on weekends like this one. The forecast has been downgrading the snow expected Saturday but still looks like we should see a decent fall tomorrow with snow possibly starting as early as lunchtime today. In fact, reports coming in of light snow about to start fall on the upper slopes of the resorts.

All in all a pretty good outlook for the 3 day weekend, get out and enjoy it!
