Early on this morning the mountains weren't visible with a lot of low cloud shrouding the village, but before 8am the clouds started to clear up and since mid-morning we have seen blue skies all around. (If you are reading this soon after I post it, take a look at the webcam from Happo for some spectacular views looking down on the village covered in cloud while the mountains are clear. Nice!)

So a day of really great clear conditions now and a fair few people out there enjoying it as well. Time to have fun.

Tomorrow while it should start off with fine weather there's a chance of rain later on, but after that it's clear conditions and warming up for the rest of the week by the looks of things.

Official snow depths and operations @ Sunday 10th April AM:

Hakuba Goryu:
The upper slopes at Goryu plan to be open until 8th May.
The Gondola and Alps No3 pair lifts are operating.
The Toomi Sky quad is open for Saturday and Sunday.
On weekdays the Toomi lifts are closed, but you can still ride down to the Gondola base. The resort advises that only intermediates/advanced riders ski/board down due to the course still open.... beginners should take the Gondola.
Alps daira - 235cm;
Toomi - 90cm.

Hakuba 47:
All lifts except Line D lift operating with all courses still open.
47 plans to be open into May.
Snow depth (upper) - 176cm

Happo-one:
The Gondola, Grat Quad, Alpen Quad, Kurobishi No2 Quad, Kurobishi No3 pair, Skyline No2 Pair and Panorama pair lifts remain open for the weekend. The upper slopes are planning to be open until 5th May (lower lifts are now closed for the season). The Grat Quad is open Saturdays, Sundays and also from 29th April until 5th May. You can still ride down to the base Gondola station as there is still good snow cover.
Usagidaira/Kurobishi - 175cm

Tsugaike Kogen:
The Gondola as well as the Tsuga No2 pair and Han-no-ki high speed pair lifts in the upper area of the resort are operating. It is possible to ski/board right down from the top to the bottom of the resort via the Han-no-ki and lower Kawamatsu courses.
Snow depth upper - 265cm

Hakuba Iwatake, Hakuba Sanosaka, Cortina and Hakuba Minekata are now all closed for the season.
