Pretty nice day on the hill yesterday, some fresh snow and chilly temperatures to keep it fluffy and dry. The winds settled a bit, and the visibility improved (only marginally, but you get what you’re given), so it made for an all round enjoyable time. Saw about, if not just under 10cm of snow hit the ground, and snow showers continued into the night.

This morning, 5cm of fresh snow and we can see some sun out (for the morning at least). Snow showers throughout the day here and there, with tops of -7C throughout the day and some moderate winds, but they shouldn’t do too much damage. Should see about 5cm this evening as well.

For a weekend, it wasn’t as busy as usual — probably due to the visibility and conditions — and this means that my recommendation for today is definitely to hit the fresh snow in the tree zones. Shooter should still be a bit of fun, with plenty of fresh snow still left over. If you’re just getting started with weaving in and out of the natural obstacles, the tree zone Rabbit should be great today as well.

The next couple of days are looking pretty mild — bit of sunshine, bit of snow showers, bit of wind...

Tuesday: partly cloudy & snow showers, light/moderate winds, tops of -7C
Wednesday: light snow & possible sun, moderate winds, tops of -8C
Thursday: partly cloudy & possible snow showers, a light breeze and tops of -6C
