The Ski Resort is Open!

Yesterday's storm totals saw upwards of 40cm fall in the village and even more on the mountain. Furano was hit with the heaviest snow we've had this autumn, and it was just in time to get things up and running for this season, only 3 days behind schedule. Here's a look at things now, at the top of the season.

[Current Snow Depths]
Top 40㎝
Bottom 20㎝

[Lift Operations]
■Furano Ropeway
8:30-14:40
■Furano Downhill
8:30-15:00

[Open Courses]
■Sailer Course (Top Half)
■Spies Course(Top Half)
■Shirakaba Course

You aren't allowed to ski all the way down to the bottom of the mountain yet, so when you do decide to pack it in for the day, please use the Furano Ropeway (last lift down at 15:10)

Due to the spotty snowfall, there are some places where rocks or bushes may be peaking out of the snow.

We should see some snow showers on and off throughout the day, but no major accumulation like we saw over the last few days. The sun is trying its best to peak out from behind the clouds, so we may just warm up above the freezing mark, but only barely, and only towards the bottom of the mountain. The winds are whipping around out there, so stay bundled up and enjoy the first day of skiing this season!
