Early this morning there was moderate snow leaving 3cm of new snow on the ground. We have had a bit of warm weather come through which should be gone by tonight. There has been quite a bit of rain in the village and a little on the lower slopes of Kitanomine. The Furano Zone escaped with only sleet, however the warm temperatures are very evident on the roads with most of the snow now gone - it is going to be really slippery once those roads refreeze. All in all it looks like the ski area is going to escape any serious effect from the rain.

There is not a lot of change on the mountain itself. Todamatsu Course is now operating and night skiing is running daily on the Prince Romance Lift and encompassing Prince Course and Todamatsu Course. Groomers were out again on Kitanomine yesterday preparing the slopes, but there is now information being released by the resort on a likely opening date yet.
